Scientific Research Institute of Law
In 2015, the Institute of Law was established at European University. The Institute publishes the international scientific journal Law and the World.
Objectives of the Institute:
- cooperation with the international free scientific and educational society and its active membership;
- implementation of joint research projects with Georgian and foreign partners;
- organization of trainings, conferences, lectures and seminars, scientific-methodological and other types of events;
- promotion of qualification improvement in various fields of law for applicants of different levels;
- holding international and regional competitions and Olympiads;
- cooperation with relevant international scientific community;
- ongoing scientific and analytical research in the field of law and publication of the collected material;
- preparation and publishing of monographs, textbooks, scientific journals;
- promotion of the field of law.
Forms of activity of the institute include:
- conducting seminars, discussions, conferences, training courses, presentations, and competitions;
- cooperating with various types of public organizations, government agencies, international and local donors;
- participating in projects and contests, acting as the initiator of projects;
- providing legal consulting services;
- appearing in court to protect the interests of individuals and legal entities;
- involving the students of the Faculty of Law of European University in court proceedings;
- cooperating with foreign educational and scientific research institutions;
- inviting foreign professors and teachers and organizing their lectures at European University;
- publishing a scientific journal in the field of law, both in print and electronic form;
- translating and publishing foreign textbooks in Georgian;
- engaging in various educational and research activities.
