Frequently Asked Questions
Before the start of the academic year, a special space is organized at the European University for the admission of new students. The faculty's educational process managers handle the registration of new students and provide them with relevant information. To undergo administrative registration, a new student must submit the following documents:
- Statement addressed to the rector (to be filled out on the spot)
- Copy of an identity document
- Notarized copy or original of the certificate
- Copy of the military registration certificate (for sons)
- 3x4 cm photo (1 piece) and an electronic version on CD
If the student is of legal age, they can sign the contract themselves. However, if the student is a minor, they must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or a person authorized by the parent to sign the contract. The accompanying adult must bring a copy of their identity document and the student's birth certificate. If the contract is signed by an authorized person, a notarized power of attorney must also be submitted.
To participate in the educational process, students must undergo administrative and academic registration each semester.
Administrative registration requires students to pay the semester tuition fee to the university within the deadline set by the university's rector. Completing administrative registration is a prerequisite for academic registration.
Tuition fees are paid on a semester basis, according to the contractual obligation, within the deadlines set for administrative registration. Additionally, upon the student's request, it is possible to establish an individual schedule for tuition fee payments.
After passing the administrative registration, within the terms set by the order of the rector, the student goes through the academic registration - chooses the study courses provided by the educational program.
The subjects are selected through the European University's educational process management electronic system/base eunsis.eun.edu.ge. To select subjects, the student is assigned a username and password.
If necessary, the student is helped by the manager of the educational process management of the faculty.
During one academic year, students are allowed to register for courses totaling up to 60 credits as provided by the program. It is permissible for the student's annual study load to exceed 60 credits or be less than 60 credits. However, the student's annual academic load must not exceed 75 ECTS credits.
A student's positive grade is determined by summing up the points obtained from meeting the minimum threshold for the intermediate assessment and the minimum threshold for the final exam. The total should be 51 points or more.
An individual curriculum is developed within the framework of the legislation to restore student status, facilitate internal and external mobility, participate in exchange programs, and effectively include students with special needs and different levels of academic preparation in the educational process.
The development of an individual curriculum is carried out in agreement with the student, involving the head of the educational program, the manager of the educational process, and a representative of the quality assurance service.
If a student cancels a registered subject and/or suspends their student status one week after the start of the studies, they will be charged the amount of the semester tuition fee. After restoring the student status, they will be required to pay the aforementioned amount.
