On June 16, the first conference of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, “From Evidence to Practice,” was held at European University.
The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Natia Jojua, followed by an address from the First Deputy Minister at the Ministry of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs, Tamar Gabunia.
In her speech, the First Deputy Minister emphasized the importance of the conference and noted that similar events make a significant contribution to strengthening the skills of doctors. According to Tamar Gabunia, obstetrics and gynecology is a particularly important field for the demographic situation, and its development is a state priority.
About 200 doctors from different regions participated in the conference. The honorary chairman was obstetrician-gynecologist Archil Khomasuridze. At the event, representatives of the field and professors discussed specific cases.
