A study was conducted by the European University on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in dental education among students of dental programs at three different universities in Georgia.
The results of the study were presented by the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry Sophio Samkharadze and Head of the Dentisry program Marika Zurmukhtashvili, at a conference organized by the Association of Dental Education in Europe – ADEE.
Study results show that most students believe AI will significantly impact future dental education but lack knowledge of specific AI tools. While positive of AI integration, concerns about over reliance exist.
A study by the “European University” demonstrates the necessity of increasing student awareness of artificial intelligence and integrating more AI tools in the programs.
