European University Faculty of Medicine announces a contest for medical clerkship for the students of the educational programs of Dental Medicine (including both Georgian and English medium ones) in a Dental Clinic Albius. The clinic is one of the biggest, well-known and successful centres in Georgia with two international schools in paradontology and restorative dentistry where practising dental doctors get retraining.
During the clerkship, the students will assist residents in the process of examination of patients. They will also practise manipulation on phantom models under the supervision of the doctors in the clinic and academic supervisors, as well as improve their practical skills and have an understanding of post-diploma study.
Clerkship period
The clerkship will start on 1 March and finish on 10 March 2020.
Time: Monday-Friday, 10:00-14:30 or 14:30 – 18:00.
Eligibility
All VI – X semester students of Georgian and English dental programs are eligible to participate in the contest.
Clerkship fees
The clerkship will be free for the selected students. There are two seats for the students of English dental program and two ones for those in Georgian program.
Application deadline
The contestants should apply for the scholarship no later than 6 pm 27 February 2020 via filling in the application form.
Selection criteria
The winners of the contest will be selected according to the results of the interview with a selection commission. The interview will be conducted in the medium of instruction (in Georgian for the students of Georgian program and in English for the students of English dental program). The commission will test the candidate’s knowledge in the basic concepts of dental medicine, maximum assessment point – 50.
The candidates who get the highest points from the interview will be selected for the clerkship.
The interview will be held at 1 pm on 28 February in the building of the Faculty of Medicine (17 D. Sarajishvili Avenue, Tbilisi, Georgia).
Announcement of the results
The results of the interview will be announced no later than 28 February.
