Kick-Off meeting of the Erasmus+ CBHE VETPRO project at “European University”

On January 30-31, at the European University (Tbilisi, Georgia), the first working meeting of the representatives of the consortium of the project “Development of Veterinary Medicine Faculties in Higher Educational Institutions of Georgia for the Training of Young Veterinary Professionals” (VETPRO) was held within the framework of the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) programme.

Consortium members from the European University, Samtskhe-Javakheti State University, Shota Meskhia Zugdidi Teaching State University, Estonian University of Life Sciences, and Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies attended the meeting.

The consortium members discussed project work packages and respective tasks to be completed by each partner university, as well as grant management issues.

It should be noted that the project VETPRO aims to develop the field of veterinary medicine in Georgia. To achieve the mentioned goal, the project includes the following tasks: development of veterinary faculties and raising the quality of teaching in accordance with the standards of the European Union; support continuing education in the veterinary field by offering open access online courses; supporting the socio-economic sector by establishing cooperation between the university community and the wider community.
