Maya Zhamutashvili is an affiliate professor of “European University” and a Physician-immunologist of Infectious Diseases, AIDS and Clinical Immunology Research Center.
She studied at “Tbilisi State Medical University” in 1978-1984. Maia Zhamutashvili also took specialized courses in Barcelona and Madrid (Spain)

She has been employed at the Hospital of Infectious Diseases – AIDS and Clinical Immunology Research Center since 1987, the Hematology Clinic “Hepa” since 2008, and the German Clinic “Limbach” since 2011 as a consultant and infectious disease expert.
Maya Zhamutashvili has authored 54 scientific publications and was awarded for her presentation on “New Trends in Hepatology” at the International Falk Symposium.
She is the chairwoman of the foreign relations committee of the Georgian Association of Infectious Diseases, Parasitologists, Hepatologists, Epidemiologists and Microbiologists, a member of the Association of Infectious Diseases since 1987, and a member of the Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver (APASL) since 2017. Also, she is a participant and speaker of a number of conferences and congresses:
