Over the course of five days, the academy featured an impressive lineup of academic lectures and interactive sessions led by esteemed local and international experts, as well as Georgian government representatives, engaging around 150 young participants in in-depth discussions on European Union enlargement policy and practice.
The academy was spearheaded by Tatia Dolidze, Jean Monnet Module Academic Coordinator and Associate Professor at European University. She was joined by notable speakers such as Kakha Gogolashvili, Director of the Centre of EU Studies at the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies (GFSIS); Steven Blockmans, Senior Fellow at CEPS (Brussels, Belgium) and ICDS (Tallinn, Estonia) and Professor at the College of Europe (Bruges & Natolin); François Masclanis, Professor and Researcher in Economics and Geopolitics at ISG – Institut Supérieur de Gestion (Toulouse, France); Levan Makhashvili, Head of Cabinet of the Chairman of Parliament at the Parliament of Georgia and Associate Professor at European University; Tinatin Akhvlediani, Research Fellow at CEPS (Brussels, Belgium) and Visiting Professor at the College of Europe and ISET of Tbilisi State University; David Bujiashvili, Director of the EU Assistance Coordination and Sectoral Integration Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia; and Bidzina Lebanidze, Researcher at the University of Jena (Germany) and Senior Analyst at GIP (Tbilisi, Georgia).
