On October 6, the first stage of the chess championship took place at the “European University,” organized by the Student and Alumni Service Center.
Approximately 40 Georgian and foreign students participated in the championship.
Nine students advanced to the second stage, which occurred on October 12.
During the second stage of the chess championship, four semi-finalists were determined, and the top three positions were awarded.
Lalitesh Raghav Ambati, a student in the English-language medical program, secured third place in the chess championship, while Nugzar Markozia, a student in the Georgian-language medical program, took second place. Luka Chkhaidze, a student in the Bachelor’s program of informatics, emerged as the champion.
The participants who clinched the first, second, and third places received medals as symbolic awards, and the chess tournament champion, Luka Chkhaidze, was also presented with an additional prize.
