A delegation from Daugavpils University, Latvia, comprising Deputy Rector for Development, Jānis Kudiņš, and Project Coordinator of the Science Department, Zaiga Vītola, embarked on a fruitful visit to European University, Georgia from June 12 to 16. The visit aimed to foster closer ties and explore potential collaborations between the two esteemed institutions.
During their stay, the delegation held significant meetings with key representatives of European University. They engaged in productive discussions with the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Tatia Dolidze and the Head of the Strategic Development Office, Giorgi Munjishvili, along with managers from the International Relations Office. The meetings were focused on discussing the prospects of future cooperation in various academic domains, including joint scientific research activities and academic collaborations.
The visit served as an opportunity to strengthen the existing partnership between European University and Daugavpils University, particularly within the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility program (KA171). Both institutions have been closely collaborating through this program, fostering student and staff exchanges, enhancing academic mobility, and promoting intercultural learning experiences.
The discussions held during the visit emphasized the shared commitment to academic excellence and the pursuit of innovative research opportunities. The delegates from Daugavpils University expressed their enthusiasm for further deepening the collaboration and exploring new avenues for mutual growth and advancement.
