Within the framework of Erasmus+ administrative mobility, on May 8-12, Public Relations and Marketing Manager Laura Papaskua and International Cooperation and Erasmus Mobility Manager Tamuna Manvelishvili of European University attended the International Staff Week at Daugavpils University (Latvia). The purpose of the event was to deepen the personal, professional, and institutional connections between the representatives of the universities.
The program gathered administrative and academic staff from the University of Mindanao (Philippines), the Technological University of Tajikistan (Tajikistan), Russian-Tajik Slavonic University (Tajikistan), National University of Lesotho (Lesotho), Al-Azhar University of Indonesia (Indonesia), Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University (Georgia) and the Karol Lipinski Academy of Music in Wrocław (Poland).
Participants attended sessions on topics such as sustainable development, environmental protection and diversity, Latvian culture and language. They also had the opportunity to visit the research center “Ilgas” and the laboratories of Daugavpils University. Furthermore, participants gave presentations about their universities, shared the best practices, and discussed prospects of future cooperation.
It is noteworthy that cooperation between the European University and Daugavpils University has a long history based on the Memorandum of Understanding and the Inter-institutional Agreement signed between the two institutions.
