Technical University and European University have signed a memorandum of cooperation
The bilateral document was signed by the Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Professor Davit Gurgenidze, and the Rector of the European University Nino Taliashvili.
The main purpose of the memorandum signed by the parties is to deepen cooperation between the two universities, develop joint educational programs for students, provide internships and facilitate graduate internships, as well as jointly organize, develop and popularize scientific research activities.
According to the Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Professor Davit Gurgenidze, the activities envisaged by the memorandum will help train highly qualified specialists and scientific staff in both universities, which in turn will develop the educational and scientific process.
“Georgian Technical University is the oldest engineering-technological school in Georgia and the South Caucasus, known for its scientific-engineering achievements and scientific inventions. “I am confident that in the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding with the European University, a number of innovations will be introduced, both in terms of the development of educational programs, as well as the implementation of joint scientific research.” – said Rector Davit Gurgenidze.
The signatories of the memorandum also agreed on the planning and implementation of infrastructural, cultural and sports events. “This fact is a precedent for the start of multilateral cooperation between one of the largest public and private universities in Georgia ” – said at the European University.
