On 20th of October, the Georgian Institute of Athens, at the base of Education and Culture Center “Caucasus” was hosted public lecture-discussion on: ”Opportunities for Higher Education in Georgia for Georgian Immigrants Residing Abroad”
Guest speaker was Rector of European University Prof. Lasha Kandelakishvili.
Co-rapporteur was Professor Alexandre Noneshvili, the director of the Museum of History and archaeology at the European university.
On the initiative of Mr Lasha Kandelakishvili, the European University has expressed its desire to provide Georgian students living in Greece with the opportunity to continue their studies in Georgia, entrants who have been selected through competition will be able to obtain free education at any of the faculties of the European University and will also enjoy student accommodation throughout the study period. English language courses will be financed by European university.
The Memorandum of Understanding, signed between the European University and the Georgian Institute of Athens, includes many other important projects in the future.
